Mission Statement
The mission of the Fire Suppression and Rescue Division is to reduce the loss of lives, injuries, and property loss through aggressive intervention during emergencies. The mission is carried out through emergency response for the purpose of rescuing endangered persons, combating and suppressing fires, and mitigation/intervention of hazardous materials releases.
The mission of the Fire Suppression and Rescue Division extends to all who live, work, visit or invest in the City of Marshfield and surrounding communities.

This photograph was taken following a committee hearing regarding the Restructuring of the Hazardous Materials Response Plan for Wisconsin. Following the hearing they also had an opportunity to discuss many fire service related issues with Representative Amy Sue Vruwink. They were accompanied by Fire Chief Dave Kerkman from the Wisconsin Rapids FD. — at Wisconsin State Capitol.
